CalAI builds trust by showing real user reviews. Then, using a loader, creates the anticipation of creating something for the user. It generates a custom plan based on answers of the user, which gives a big reason to continue. Plays directly into the core drive of curiosity.

04/ A blunder

When I checked out of curiosity, I found that CalAI shows the same feedback to my desired goal no matter what I selected. Kind of misleading for an AI that boasts about AI tracking. But well, it was one of those quick built AI apps too, so can't expect too much.
05/ subscription screen.
Users are pushed to try free Trial. As long as 1 month. Shows their confidence in their product, which is a good thing. From the massive discount, we can infer that they know users won't buy again after for next billing cycle, or that they are too desperate to commit users for a year.

06/ What did we learn?
Not taste and design for sure. But we see that it follows that same pattern from the other apps we have broken down - comprehensive user details, building trust with a graph and user reviews, generating a custom plan, and ultimately a massive annual discount.
